Spectral Offerings
A celebration of the mystique and freedom of the spectral plane. Who am I to suggest that ghosts don’t hold, or attend, potlucks? I suspect they love a party just as much as the living. Two complimentary designs feature party stars and jelly brought by one of the ghosts with a sweet tooth.
Design Process
Each design began as a quick experimental digital sketch and became a collection of little paintings in acrylic gouache on heavyweight tan card stock with a lovely fibrous texture. I scanned each painting, cleaned up and laid out the various motifs in Photoshop, and added finer details in Procreate.
I had each design in the collection printed on a variety of fabrics from Spoonflower, and turned them into zero waste shirts! It was such a lovely experience to cut into fabric that I designed, and to hold my work in my hands, at the right scale. Delicious.
