Editorial illustration to accompany an excerpt from ‘Ayer’, by Juan Emar, translated by Megan McDowell. The excerpt is a very surreal deconstruction of a story, largely focused on a pot-bellied man in a waiting room. The wallpaper references motifs from the story and a nod to Magritte’s The Son of Man.

I also illustrated the cover of the translated book for Peirene Press.
