A Caterpillar Constitutional
A warm, zesty bouquet of a print featuring small anthropomorphised caterpillars, simply going for a stroll. This pattern began life as a collage of painted paper and card which was later scanned and turned into a seamless repeat.
Design Process
My original caterpillar going on a digestive walk is framed and now hanging just outside my kitchen.
Part of my design process was roughly sketching up repeat in Procreate. As I did so, I experimented a little with different colour variations; I could do this for hours and hours! If I didn’t have so many different designs I wanted to produce, I’d happily just play with colour palettes.
